Terms & Conditions

1.1Purpose & Participation

The EverybodyCanPaint collaborative creativity experience is a fun, inclusive, participatory, meaningful, and inspiring way to engage a community, company, team, or private event to think and create together.

Our mission is to inspire, engage, activate, and elevate the creative spirit — catalyzing connection, creativity, innovation, and collaboration with and through the arts.

We believe in the power of collaborative art as a catalyst for positive social evolution, inclusivity, community engagement, team building, education, and innovation.

EverybodyCanPaint provides inclusive, family-friendly, hands-on art experiences where people of all ages and abilities can contribute to collaborative public murals and creative projects. By participating, you agree to engage respectfully and safely with other participants, staff, and materials.

1.2 Respectful Conduct

We foster a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment. Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or damage to property or artwork will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the activity.

1.3 Safety & Liability

EverybodyCanPaint events are designed to be family-friendly, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. Paint and all materials used are non-toxic and water-based.

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. The available aprons are always provided for your use at the Paint Station, along with a wash station — however, water-based acrylic latex paints may stain clothing if not cleaned up on site. Once dry, Goof Off *for Clothes* works well to remove paint. Participants are encouraged to use the available aprons, wear appropriate protective attire while painting, and exercise reasonable care.

EverybodyCanPaint, its organizers, and staff are not liable for injuries, allergic reactions, or damage to personal property during the event.

1.4 Ownership, Copyright & Intellectual Property

All EverybodyCanPaint mural experiences and installations are created with the artist Richard Art Felix in the context of a single original collaborative artwork that he has connected, created, designed, built, painted in, completed, and documented — all while we are creating each masterpiece together.

Individual brushstrokes or contributions do not constitute individual ownership. Every participant’s creative contribution, inclusion, participation, creative expression, and collaboration is what the EverybodyCanPaint project is all about. Each and every “section” of each mural’s design that people paint or write in as their contribution is deeply respected, honored, and appreciated by the artist.

Exceptions: With the exception of names, initials, logos, team names, hate speech, or explicitly sexual or otherwise inappropriate imagery, which are not permitted as stated in the guidelines everyone is required to read — and which are posted on signage throughout each installation, at the Paint Station, and verbally repeated by our volunteer crew when they get their paints. Note: All of the “exceptions” listed above will be removed from the mural.

All participant contributions become part of a collective artwork authored and copyrighted by Richard Art Felix. EverybodyCanPaint and its creator, artist Richard Art Felix, may photograph, film, reproduce, and incorporate the murals or any part of them into final artworks, wearable art, reproductions, or derivative works in any media. Participants waive any claim of ownership or compensation related to the use, sale, or exhibition of the collaborative artworks or their reproductions. All proceeds from any artworks, artwear, or reproductions of the final murals go toward supporting the EverybodyCanPaint project and its mission to reach, build, and engage more people and communities everywhere. You grant EverybodyCanPaint permission to photograph, film, and reproduce your image and your creative contribution for educational, promotional, commercial, marketing, and archival purposes.

1.5 Minors & Guardians

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts full responsibility for their safety and participation.

1.6 Accessibility & Inclusion

We strive to make all activities accessible and enjoyable for people of all abilities. Please inform our team of any access needs or accommodations prior to the event or when you arrive so we can best support your experience.

1.7 Acceptance of Terms

Participation in EverybodyCanPaint events indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
